Author: The author is Rabbi Chaim Tzvi Hirsch Broda (Brode), the Av Beit Din (Head of Rabbinical Court) of Old Zagare (Zhagar), Lithuania. He was a renowned scholar, also known for his work

Notable Connection: Rabbi Broda was the father-in-law of the famous Gaon, Rabbi Zelig Reuven Bengis (1864–1953), who later served as the Chief Rabbi of the Edah HaChareidis in Jerusalem.
