A warm handwritten letter of blessing on official stationery, sent by the Gaon Rabbi Meir HaLevi (Segal) Landau, the former Rabbi of Drohobycz and Antwerp, to a prominent Rabbi named Avraham.


  • Occasion: The letter conveys heartfelt blessings on the occasion of the wedding of the recipient’s son.
  • Content: The Rabbi writes with great warmth: "From the depths of the heart, I am here to bless him on the day of the wedding of his son… the groom Gershon… with a blessing of Mazel Tov" (מעומק הלב הנני בזה לברכו ביום כלולת בנו … החתן גרשון ני’ בברכת מז"ט).
  • Stationery: Official letterhead stating his positions: "Meir Segal Landau – Formerly Rabbi of Drohobycz – Antwerp – Tel Aviv, 36 Bilu Street".

Sender (Author): Rabbi Meir HaLevi (Segal) Landau (1910–1988) was a renowned Galician Torah scholar. He served as the Av Beit Din of Drohobycz and later led the community in Antwerp. Upon immigrating to Israel, he became a central figure in the re-establishment of the Galician Torah world, serving as President of
Kollel Chibas Jerusalem and
Rosh Yeshiva of the Chiddushei Harim Yeshiva.
