Author: Rabbi Zvi Hirsch ben Chaim of Fürth (רבי צבי הירש בן חיים מפיורדא).

Notable Connection: This work is one of the most beloved collections of prayers, supplications, and laws for the Jewish year. This specific 1777 Prague (פראג) printing is highly prized for its unique "long-strip" format and its censorship approval by Leopoldus Tirsch, the Imperial Censor of Hebrew books. The book concludes with a colophon naming the typesetter, Feivel ben Shimon Aberli of Prague (פייבל בן שמעון אברלי מפראג).

Collector’s Value: High. Complete copies of 18th-century "long-format" pocket books from Prague are exceptionally difficult to find, as their portable nature usually led to extreme wear or loss of pages. This specimen represents the pinnacle of early Ashkenazic printing quality from the press of Johann Ferdinand Edler von Schönfeld.

Condition report:

Unique Format: The book is in a rare, elongated "long-strip" shape, measuring approximately 7 x 17 cm. This format was specifically designed for portability, allowing the user to keep the book in a coat pocket for constant use.

Binding: Elegant half-leather binding with gold-tooled lettering on the spine reading "לקוטי צבי" and "PRAG 1777".

Completeness: This copy is fully complete, containing all 72 leaves.
